Is it the IT department, marketing, HR, web services, sales, engineering?
Some of the above? All of the above? None of the above?
Certainly all of the these departments can use Web 2.0 in pursuit of their business goals – productivity and profit, but who actually owns the keys to the machine?
That’s the conundrum of Web 2.0 – because it exists across the community, versus up and down, it doesn’t fit into the standard corporate structure of command and control.
My initial, knee jerk response is that no one department ‘owns’ Web 2.0.
